Automation Examples (Basic): Sending Invoices

Let your pipelines do the work for you: Automate your invoices so that they go out to the client as soon as they need to. They can be sent automatically during any step of your process, whether it is in the first stage of a pipeline, once the client has filled out their organizer, or later. 

First, you’ll need an invoice template. (For detailed instructions, go to Custom Invoice Templates.) Once you have an invoice template ready:

1. Go to Settings, select Pipelines, then click on the pipeline name or the CREATE PIPELINE button.

2. Select the stage, click + Add automation, then choose Create Invoice from the pull-up menu.

3. Select the template for the automation, then decide whether you want to toggle on the Reminders option: An additional email is sent to the client if they don’t respond within a time frame. (Read more about Automatic Reminders here.)

4. Click the SAVE button to save your changes. After the automaton is added, you can see it by going to the pipeline page and clicking the automation icon above the stage.

Once a job moves to a stage in the pipeline with a Create Invoice automation, a notification with the automation appears. 

If you don’t want the invoice automatically sent, deselect the automation, then click Move.
